ill and old

You're not hearing much from me because I'm very ill.

It started with the flu, and then I was diagnosed with pneumonia.

I didn't know someone can be so ill, and have so little reserve.
Not being able to use the full lung capacity makes me feel a very old man.

I try to guard myself from apathy, but I'm slow, and I don't care much about things I otherwise jump up for.

So please allow me some time to become my younger me again.
